IT’s nearly fall…

and that means soccer season! Our first season of soccer kicked off last night.  Hannah was so excited to play and see some friends! The age difference between these 2 girls is 4 days.  Hannah is younger.  And taller.  I am going to try to get Eli on a team too…he is ready to play!

foundation

We had a few exciting hours last Friday when the cement truck came to pour the foundation for the small addition we are working on.  Eli really enjoyed watching all the action! This is his “cool, a cement truck!” pose. This is his spider man blaster “look, a cool cement truck!” pose. This is his “I’m going to stand up straight just like this cement truck pose”.  Which is cool.

kids at the park

My nephew is staying with us this week, and as much as the kids have (mostly) enjoyed playing together at home, sometimes it’s good to mix it up a bit. Especially when the weather is as gorgeous as it is right now. So yesterday morning we headed to the park to play for a while.  As you can see, they really enjoyed themselves. (Mostly)

I can’t take credit for this.

Diving

Image
I signed the kids up for 5 total weeks of swimming lessons this summer.  We have 1 more week left later this month. Hannah has been taking diving lessons right before her regular lesson – she just loves to swim! And finally she got the courage to go hands first off the board! Yay Hannah!! Eli isn’t dive ready yet, but swim ready… Absolutely! Hope you all have a great weekend.  I am off to my 20 year HIGH SCHOOL REUNION tonight!

My iron man

Image
A few weekends ago my husband thought it would be fun and challenging to commemorate turning 40 by doing a half iron man race.  This breaks down as follows: Swim: 1.2 miles Bike: 56 miles Run: 13.1 miles I am pretty sure that when I turn 40 I will think of a much more fun and far less taxing way to commemorate the occasion.  But that’s just me. I drove down after the race started, and arrived at some point during his bike ride.  So the first glimpse I had of him was when he came in to the bike area to transition to the run. He was still smiling.  And he was still moving! And saw him again about halfway through the run. Of course he had to stop briefly for his adoring fans. And then, 70.3 miles  and about 6.5 hours later, he finished! We are so proud of you!!

Summer Vacation

Image
These pictures are not in order, but here are a few from our recent road trip to Red Lodge, Montana and Couer D'Alene, Idaho.   We (and I mean Mickey) drove over 2,000 miles in a week.  The weather was HOT and we had a blast! Hope you are all enjoying your summers!
