The Mighty M Family

It’s Monday and I’m exhausted. Between being sick, taking care of 2 sick kids last week, and celebrating a birthday this weekend I am plumb pooped.  Which reminds me.  Hannah got one of those animated Elmo’s one year (the hokey pokey one) and during one of his dance sequences he would say “whew, Elmo’s pooped”.  Hannah had never heard that word before in any other context, so for the longest while whenever Elmo said that she immediately picked him up and brought him to me for a diaper change.  Too cute.  But I digress.  The purpose of this post is to show you some of the wonderful pictures of a birthday weekend. On Saturday Hannah celebrated with some friends at her preschool/gym.  It was a lot of fun! Afterwards we went home to have dinner with some friends and family. When I saw that this week’s theme was pink (in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month), I knew I wanted to use this picture.  The paper she is holding in front of her kind of gets in the way, but the pink is there for all to see!  I love her smile here!!

Can’t believe our little girl is 4 today. Has it really been four years since daddy wrote this? Since I took these pictures? Has it really been four years since we brought you home for the first time? How fast you’ve grown. How lovely you are. Here’s to your first birthday. And your second. And your third… And here’s to many, many more. Happy Birthday, Hannah. Please stop growing so fast.  Okay?
