*Snacks! And more snacks. *And fun new little toys/coloring stuff/stickers (for Hannah), etc... but taken out at different times throughout the flight. Don't give it all at once! *An IPOD with some fun kids' songs on it.
I'll keep thinking... but that worked for us when we took Isaias (1 1/2), Isaac (2 almost 3), and Ella (4).
Give them some yarn and aluminum foil. They'll be entertained for hours!

Get some little "new" toys that they aren't shown until the plane ride, like hot wheel cars and a coloring book.

I wouldn't worry about the kids you just want to make sure your husband is well rested on the flight. Make sure you have snacks for him and let him watch shows on his Ipod.
The 3 year old might enjoy a "bingo" type game that they have to spot the things they see on their trip (plane, red suitcase, seatbelt, etc.) Give a sticker everytime they spot one!
Younger than that - erm, a sedative? seriously though we did loads of long journeys with little ones and found the smallest ones crashed out after an hour or so but otherwise it'll need to be peekaboo.
What about a song bag- things that represent differnt songs or a treasure bag- filled with textures and sounds (not sure how this would work with carry on luggage rules!)
DVD's.... lots of disney movies, SNACKS, doddle sketch...you can buy them at Target, maybe those Magic markers that don't have color except on the "paper" it's made for. Of course there's always benadryl?
We met you in May of 2004 at the Humane Society. You were the only dog who could have cared less that there were humans walking around. While all the other dogs barked and barked at us, you lay on the floor curled up and awake, yet quiet and uninterested. We almost passed you by but after mentioning you to one of the employees they said you were a good boy and that we should take you out for a walk. Once outside you perked right up and wanted to sniff everything and explore and didn't seem at all like the dog you were inside. We were hooked. We agreed to take you home and took care of the necessary arrangements. Your name was Champ because the Humane Society had picked you up on the side of the road, very injured in what they assumed was a fight with another dog. We were told you were maybe two years old at most. The Humane Society fixed you up and you healed like a, well, like a champ. We decided to rename you Baxter. We brought you h...
I gave my daughter a box of those Valentine’s candy hearts to eat and every time she crunches down on one it is like a spear going through my head. Next time, remember to go for the softer ones. I hate noise. Hate it. Like Jeckyll and Hyde hate it. I hate crunching, chewing, snapping, typing, clicking, clacking, humming, popping, sucking, clipping, clicking, tapping. I have an intense fear of being stuck in an elevator with a bunch of people snapping gum. Or eating popcorn. Or typing on keyboards. Or clipping nails. Oh, the torture! I was thrilled when I saw an article in Time Magazine recently that indicated I was not alone. But it also indicated that perhaps the best way to conquer the phobia is to face it head on – by being exposed to those noises you hate the most until you mentally figure out that it’s just noise, accept it, and move on. I do feel part of my problem is mental, because, with the exception of those candy ...
When I read Yaya’s post about picking a word to live by instead of writing down resolutions I thought about what my word might be. I am often thinking, not just at New Year’s, about what I want and need to do in my life to continually improve. There is so much I want to do. So much I want to learn. But how? When? With what time? So my word this year is “focus”. Focus on taking care of ME. Focus on taking care of my family. Focus on being a better mom (granted, I’m pretty darn good but there’s always room to improve! ) Focus on getting things done around the house and not always waiting for the mood to strike. Focus on taking better pictures. Focus on learning more about photo editing. Focus. If I were to sit down and make a list of 5-10 MOST important things in my life, blogging and reading blogs would not be on that list. Would it be on yours? Yet, I spend a lot of my spare time trying to keep my Google reade...

nesting cups
pipe cleaners
finger puppets
and one of my favorites...blue painters tape...sounded cool to me, they can stick it around and it cleans up easily
My kids were loud hysterical babies...when they were not being perfect. I avoided travel at all costs!
I know your kids are delightful, so have a fun time ")
