today we went from this
to this
to this
(see all of Eli’s meds on the counter there?)
So we are officially out of the cast and into a splint that she can wear during the day but take off at night. She will wear this for 3 weeks, and will still need to refrain from doing much active play to keep it safe.
We kept the cast and boy does it stink!
In other news we have had yet ANOTHER snow day today….I’m getting stir crazy, although I was driving today and the roads are manageable in a 4WD. Hannah and I were supposed to leave tomorrow and take a train down to visit my new niece Charlotte…but we decided to wait a couple more weeks.
Here are a few more pictures from our morning. The man who took Hannah’s cast off asked her if her mom always takes so many pictures. Why, YES she does! Especially if it’s something as important as getting a cast off!

Yeah Hannah!!! Be careful out there the ice is crazy. We're on snowday #4, I'm sadly thinking #5 is coming right around the bend ... UGH
YAH! I remember getting my cast off my arm when I was a kid, terrifying! But look at her smile! =)
Progress... yay!!
I strongly dislike it when people think I'm weird for taking pictures. Um, hello... MEMORIES!
Yay, glad the cast is off!

Yay, no more cast.
Congratulations to your daughter for getting her cast off!
We still don't have snow, in Utah, crazy!
I'm having flashbacks to breaking my ankle at 4...
She looks soooo tickled to be getting that cast off!
And T, she is looking more grown-up all the time!
Hannah.. did you arm feel really light? I remember when I got my cast off it seemed like my arm was floating.
Aw yeah! Glad she survived it all!
She must be so happy to finally have that cast off! Look at that smile!

Hope all is well on the home front with the kids!
I'm totally excited about school being back in too!!
I didn't know how they took a cast off!
So happy for you that the smelly cast is behind you:)
Wow I have not been around and I see this.. Ouch but glad to see she is all better now.. I would have picked pink too. We have snow but still have school going on.. Have a great day..
No matter what she is always smiling!
What a brave beauty that Hannah is!!! I remember when I got the cast off my leg I thought they were gonna saw into me!!!
Hope your little Eli feels better soon and very soon, bless his heart.
God bless and have a marvelous shut in day!!!
what a brave little girl!! I'm a new follower here ;)
Ahh! I've never had a broken bone and don't want one after seeing the cast being removed! Looks like you have a very brave girl!
Oh gosh. Ouch. Poor little thing. Try spraying the cast with lysol and putting it in the sun for a day or two (if you have any this time of year) Her smile is so happy. What a trying time for you all.
I love that huge smile on her face as the cast is being cut off! She is one brave girl!!
Hope you had a great weekend!
Hi there.. Just stopping by to say Hello..
You would be an awesome labradoodle.
She looks so cute and so brave in these pictures. We have yet to break a bone in this house, but she's a great example!
Apparently, you must have all of our Minnesota snow, because I can see grass from my window :)
I bet it felt great for that cast to come off! She was so brave and looks fascinated by the process of them removing. it.
