a post for Friday

I’m more than just a stay at home mom.

I read.

IMG_1335

(see, the stack has grown since last time I showed this picture)

I watch television.

I exercise.

I floss every day.

I go out with girlfriends.

I spend time with my husband.

I pay attention to current events.

I enjoy cooking.

I enjoy drinking wine.

I enjoy cooking while drinking wine.

I love trivia games.

And Boggle.

I make sure most of the food we have in our house is healthy.

I love music.

I am silly.

I am serious.

I DON’T like to be scared (meaning that my husband really needs to let me know when he comes home unannounced in the middle of the day and just lets me come downstairs to find him standing there staring at me like a criminal because for a split second I was sure he had just broken in  and that is the ONLY reason I screamed bloody murder and about lost my lunch before realizing who it really was).

I am anxious.

I am focused.

I like schedules and routines.

And I am sure I could go on and on.

So one would think I would have MORE to say, MORE to blog about than just taking and posting cute pictures of my kids.

Maybe someday I will.

But for now a little of this:

Shaving cream fun or new beauty regime?  You be the judge.

Have a great weekend!

A great post. Totally shaving cream fun. I want to join in. i think it would eb fun to fill a small swimming pool up with it and let the kids go crazy.

So you have to read The Help. How was I Alex Cross? I want to read it, but I heard you have to read all the other books first. Is it true? Did you read the Quickie?

Awww! That is a great post! But I do not think you should think it is a bad thing to show pics of your ever so cute kids every post. They are a part of you so, in essence, we see you each time too. :) Love Eli's new beauty regimen. Wish I looked that cute with shaving cream all over my face. :)

Oh my gosh! Hahahaha!! Hilarious pics!!!

It's good to know that you're more than a mom, too. I know that most mom's don't want to "lose themselves" when the kids come. =)

I love to read too....and these pictures are completely darling!!!

Sara @ Domestically Challenged said...

YOu are completely right- you are MUCH more than just a mom. Yes, it defines a huge portion of your life, but you are so much more, and all of it great!

You are more than a mom. You've been a good friend to me and we've never even met! And that routine must work because he is beautiful!

P.S. Don't read The Road. It is by far the most depressing novel I've ever read. I wish I had that time back. LOL

I have a stack like that too. I keep meaning to make more time....

I want more!

Liz Mays said...

Based on that post, I think you could do some of that writing you're talking about! ;)

Lee said...

Oh oh! I really want to read "The Road." How was it? :)

Your boy is so stinkin' cute...how do you stand it???? I bet my kids would LOVE to play with shaving cream!

We have the same taste in books...I love all of Jen Lancaster's book. She's hysterical! I love James Patterson too...let me know how that book is!!!

I downloaded The Road today because a coworker recommended it. I hear it's great.

I knew much of this about you. Yeah, good memory :)

All reasons I love following your blog...you are awesome.

I am now reading 7 books at once. That is a first for me. I usually read one at a time!

i thought that was yogurt on your boy at first :)

You are definitely MORE. But I have to admit I do love seeing pics of your cute kiddos.

I also don't like being scared and my hubby seems to find humor in it, too.

Jami said...

So, I'm curious: how does he react to the screaming? Cause I have this thing where I scream involuntarily when he sneaks up on me (usually in the laundry room when I can't hear him coming) and he's always like "Sheesh! calm down." even though he KNOWS before he rounds that corner that I will scream. It's a little game we play, I guess. Though not a particularly fun one. So I am just curious what your hubby says when you scream. Is he apologetic or like "this is my house too!"

:)

Haha..So cute! Lol, looks like he had a lot of fun!

There are a couple of books I'd like to borrow there...this was a great post! You are much more than just a mommy; it's just hard to remember sometimes.

You know what's weird? You would think I'm all free and spontaneous, but I'm actually very schelduled and disciplined. I hate not having a plan.

Mike said...

Do you enjoy cooking meals that are made with wine, while drinking wine? LOL!

Hey, what's wrong with pictures? I think that they are wonderful!

Monique@Mommyhood Exposed said...

I am also anxious and jumpy if someone comes in unannounced. My ex used to constantly come home from work in the middle of the day at random times, and I would be doing laundry, cleaning the upstairs, and I wouldn't even hear him until he was RIGHT behind me! A few times I thought I was going to have a heart attack:)

Good idea with the shaving cream! So cute!!

you are awesome and multi-talented! :)

I am coming to your house. Your list is great and I love cooking, wine, music, trivia. Although, I will admit I am not schooled in Boggle. :)

SUPER CUTE pics btw.
