Wordless Wednesday: A peek at our Vow Renewal

This is 40.

Image
Well, this is it.  The big 40.   Just a few pictures of my metamorphosis (there'd be more but I haven't learned how to scan pictures yet to my Mac).  The "awkward" one would be me in 6th grade.  That hair took a lot of aqua net to perfect.  Ha!   I always thought I would feel so "old" and so "grown up" at 40.  But I still feel like I did as a young adult.  Only smarter.  And with noisier, stiffer joints.   So if this is 40 I say bring it.   I'm ready.

Christmas Wish List

Image
Last weekend I let my kids go through the big Target toy ad and circle all the things they thought they might want for Christmas. I used to love doing this when I was a kid: barbies, dolls, kitchen toys, stuffed animals, games…so many toys to circle. However, I am again reminded how times have changed.  Hannah did not really circle ANY toys.  Instead: Cell phones, iPads, and iPods, oh my! And she is dying for a car she can "drive". Not sure Santa is going to deliver any of this stuff this year. Santa thinks she should slow down and play with toys just a little bit longer.

She is 8

Image
I kind of forgot I had a blog. Without google reader I am really failing at blogging and visiting other friends with any kind of regularity. However, today is worthy of a post! Today, Hannah is 8. 8! While it doesn't exactly feel like yesterday since I had her, it has certainly been a very fast 8 years. Time flies.  Try to enjoy almost every moment (gotta take a break from enjoying every now and then!). Happy Birthday Hannah - Love you lots!!

Pre-K Graduation

Eli graduated from Pre-K last week!  What a milestone.  Can not believe I will have 2 elementary students living in my house next year!! Love the cake - Hannah had the same one when she graduated Pre-K. Eli!  Eli was excited to graduate because that meant they got to have cake. This is Eli with his best buddy.

Coffeehouse Poetry Day!

Hannah's class had a poetry reading in April - the kids read their poems and even some of the parents got to share too!  It was very fun.   Here are Hannah's poems: Pizza Dough, flip the dough Sauce, spread the sauce Cheese, sprinkle the cheese Pepperoni, put the pepperoni on the cheese Oven, put the pizza in the oven and... Snap, you have a pizza!  Enjoy! America America oh America I love you the most Oh America A-m-e-r-i-c-a America Is here every day, we're free to do what ever we want Thanks to the leaders Oh great America
