how was your weekend?

Over Labor Day weekend we drove to the east side of the state of Washington.

We were at a hotel for the first night. And we were reminded that staying in a hotel room with a baby is never an easy task come bedtime. 

So, since we didn’t care to hide in the tiny bathroom until he fell asleep we waited it out. 

It was a late night. 

The next day we had lofty plans of driving around to visit some of the hundreds of wineries in the area. 

We made it to three.

We spent the rest of the weekend at my Grandmother’s home in Kennewick. 

Hannah loved riding to the pool in the golf cart.

Speaking of Tutu, my mom (Tutu) decided to surprise us by driving to Kennewick.

She is a 3-hour drive from my grandmother’s home and thus the last person I expected to see there that weekend. IMG_6468

But, knowing my mom as I do, I should have known better. 

I wish I had taken a few more pictures, especially some with grandma in them.  But we had a great visit and a wonderful time!!

Yay! I've been waiting for the pics. Love the Halloween jammies-very cute. And who DOESN'T love riding the golf cart to the pool? That's one of my favorite parts of visiting! :-)

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! What a nice surprise by your mom too. I love when parents/grandparents do cool stuff like that.

Dear you, Hi there! We haven't met so I thought I would introduce myself.  I am a mom of two, a fifth and a third grader, at the school our kids attend.  You might recognize my car, as you drive by it nearly every day when you pass me (and plenty other parents) 10 minutes before school gets out to park at the very front of the pick up line. In a spot that is not a spot. Genius!  I mean why should you get to school early like many of us other parents do and park appropriately in the pick up lane when you can just come nearly at the last minute, go around a line of 30 vehicles, and park in a spot that is not a spot? Why didn't I think of that? You probably have special circumstances.  I'm sure you think that NOBODY else in the pick up lane,  many of whom have been sitting there waiting for 30-45 minutes have ANYTHING better that they could be doing with their time. I’m more than just a stay at home mom.  I read. (see, the stack has grown since last time I showed this picture) I watch television. I exercise. I floss every day.  I go out with girlfriends.
