“How was your first day of preschool?”

“We went for a walk and saw some bats! But don’t worry mom, they were NICE bats!”.

“We didn’t have any snacks!”.

“All the gym teachers left because they had a play date!”.

“All that other stuff I said was JUST AN EXPRESSION, mom.

Of course we had snacks.

We had SMORES!!".

She later went on to tell daddy that they had a thunder and lightning storm in the middle of class.

I believe we may have a future best-selling fictional author in our midst.

But we THINK she had a good day. I can't wait to hear all about day two!

Nice bats! Haha - too cute!

My niece was telling me about her first couple days of kindergarten... apparently they had a giraffe come to the school that the kids got to ride on.
Hmmm... maybe those two girls should get together and share story ideas! ;)

My 3 year old claims to see bats at preschool too. Why bats? Are there really bats taking over America's preschools?? =) Very cute!

We met you in May of 2004 at the Humane Society. I’m more than just a stay at home mom.  I read. (see, the stack has grown since last time I showed this picture) I watch television. I exercise. I floss every day.  I go out with girlfriends. Dear you, Hi there! We haven't met so I thought I would introduce myself.  I am a mom of two, a fifth and a third grader, at the school our kids attend.  You might recognize my car, as you drive by it nearly every day when you pass me (and plenty other parents) 10 minutes before school gets out to park at the very front of the pick up line. In a spot that is not a spot. Genius!  I mean why should you get to school early like many of us other parents do and park appropriately in the pick up lane when you can just come nearly at the last minute, go around a line of 30 vehicles, and park in a spot that is not a spot? Why didn't I think of that? You probably have special circumstances.  I'm sure you think that NOBODY else in the pick up lane,  many of whom have been sitting there waiting for 30-45 minutes have ANYTHING better that they could be doing with their time.
