Eli is almost 3. A big boy. Practically a giant!
We decided he was ready for a “big boy bed”. Which meant it was also time to paint his room which was previously painted the way the prior owners wanted it.
It was cute, but not the vision I had for Eli’s space. Here are some before pictures (and yes, it was pretty much messy like this all the time).
And the after:
And of course, one of them, ahem, “sleeping”.
I didn’t take enough pictures of the “after”! If you look close enough you can see that he has robot sheets. We also hung up 3 robot pictures that look perfect in his room. And I love the color!
We took the closet doors off and his dresser is now in part of that space. I want to paint the inside of the closet blue too – someday.
Hannah has slept on the top bunk since the bed arrived (last Thursday). So far we have had NO problems with Eli going to sleep or staying in bed. He loves it!
I was only a little sad about putting the crib away. It has been the crib for Macy, Hannah, and Eli. We are saving it for now, but only because I don’t know what else to do with it at this point NOT because we will need it again. No way! :)

Wow, it looks great! I can't wait to come see it in person. And yes, that crib has held much precious cargo over the year, has it not? Better keep it just in case :) LOL!
aww he really is a big boy now. Like those colors and we painted our closet blue in our old house and loved it. hid scuff marks and just looked good when the doors were open.
It looks great! I'm sure he's loving being a "big" boy now. Micah is still in our bed, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. :(

I love Eli's bed!! It's almost time to move Jacob into a big bed too. He has been climbing out of his crib for some time now!! LOL

Oh, that is so hard, isn't it? Bittersweet. he does look cute, all "asleep" in the pic. The color is perfect too.
Love the blue orange and robots -- VERY nice job! Yeah you really got me thinking that my daughter is almost ready for this change too -- sigh...how quickly they grow up on us :/ hehe - and love the pic of them "sleeping" - too cute :)

I love that color, too! A big boy bed. Wow! They are growing up. Bean just points to her big girl bed and says "Daddy can sleep dere" and turns and gets up in our bed.

Awesome! I've heard that siblings in the same room often works out well, I'm thinking of actually putting both our boys in the same room once Danny starts sleeping through the night.

Aw, I love his new room! Making the transition to 'big kid' bed was always hard FOR ME!!! My kids did not stay in their beds and it made me crazy! I am glad to hear that Eli like it so much that he doesn't get out and play!
