We spent a long weekend on the “east side” of the state of Washington, also known as the dry, hot, desert-like side. And except for the day we left it was indeed dry, hot, and desert like.
We stopped in Leavenworth, WA on the way – a famous little town known as “your Barvarian getaway”. We browsed the shops and had lunch and ice cream.
We spent the rest of the time in Chelan. All we did was PLAY! And I’m sure a year from now I will have totally forgotten ANY kids that may or may not have been a little cranky from time to time (which is a vacation must, right?).
If we go back next year maybe I will even get a picture with myself in it!

Yes definitely need a picture of you. What great pictures and so glad the weather was nice. Leavenworth is one of my favorite places to visit in WA. I have never been in the winter and hope to take the train trip one of these years to the lighting ceremony
