What’s that?

You couldn’t make it??

Well, allow me to recap:

First you need it to be July 4th.

Then of course, you need to decorate your “float”:

Use lots of tape.

Then you, naturally, need to put on your parade hat.

Time to head up the hill!

Looks like the neighbors are excited too!

Waiting for the start at the top of the hill.  What a great turnout for the “First Annual” neighborhood kiddie parade!

And to the delight of all we had our own personal parade escorts, all the way down to the other end of the street!!

Time to wave to the adoring neighbors crowd as we head down the parade “route”.

At the end of the parade we got to check out the ambulance and fire truck.  And, as the invitation states, “ice cream for all!'”.

Eli is sick today!   But you can hardly tell he is unhappy here….

We even let Baxter in on the action!

What a way to start of the Fourth of July!  Can’t wait to do it again next year!!  Happy 4th to you all!!

Oh darn! Sorry I missed the parade! Looks like the neighborhood had a blast. I wish we had something like that over here. Especially now that my boys are really riding their bikes. I remember doing something similar when I was younger. Hmmm, maybe I need to organize something for our neighborhood.

Looks like so much fun! We went to a BBQ in Birch Bay at which I ate an Elk Burger. Seriously. And it was freaking delicious.

For some reason, I thought you lived in Seattle... I didn't realize that you are just across the border in Bellingham. We'll have to meet up for a coffee the next time I come down that way!

What fun!

At first, I thought you were having a blog parade. I was about to wrestle Bitty and Bear into a wagon.
