I just started turning our unused dinning room into a play room and that's what it looks like....and it only has new birthday toys in it right now!

Aah, now that's a familiar refrain :) Too cute!

Oh my gosh! Too cute! I just had this same conversation with my girls last night! They got every toy out in about 5 minutes. It took them an hour to clean them all up!

Looks and sounds just like my house..

Oh man, what a party you got going on there. Maybe they will come back to life again and put themselves away?

Awwww...boy does this bring back a memory! My kids were huge on imagination! They would play for hours like this! The TV came on about once a week at our house. There were too many things to imagine!

Good for you!

Sweet post!

It's amazing how that works! My son is in the "dumping everything" stage... and I'm wondering, is there ever a "putting things back" stage?

Isn't that the truth!! I think that every kid on the planet has the same syndrome! LOL

Oh girl, you know I have been a bad blogger when it has taken me so long to come back and say "Hi" This is my first time on in I don't know how long!

I have missed you!

Guess what! I am going to be in Seattle soon. How far away are you from the city? Maybe we could meet for a cup of coffee if it was not too long of a drive for you. I totally understand if it can't work. :)

It will be my first time to get to stay and visit Seattle and I am so excited! Yeah me :)

Ba ha ha! I have to agree with her mom. It's hard work taking them out.

Lee said...

Hahaha! I used to do the same thing. I would drag all of my toys out and then refuse to put them away.

Holy Toledo! Were the toys drinking spiked punch?!

I remember times like this. When they're really young, you make a game out of picking up the toys and putting them away. When they get older, you tell them, "You have x number of minutes. After that, anything left on the floor goes to Goodwill."

It worked for me - especially after the one trip I made to Goodwill. No problems after that. ;)

If you figure out how to get them to clean them up...let me know the secret.

that is classic. My kids say they don't know how to put things away. and the sad thing is, I mostly do it myself because I;m so anal about where everything goes!

What the heck?!!! That's crazy play!

Oh, I so remember those day and I think I miss them - sometimes... Looks like a great birthday party!

We stayed at the Belligio.... go see "O" it was amazing!
Lots of fun...little sleep... it seems to just make you stay awake!

I love it! So... how did the clean up party go?

wife.mom.nurse said...

We are thinking the week of the 24th-ish ;)

Well, it is not really an anniversary trip when it's 5 months early. It is much more an R&R trip...and a chance to see a couple of friends :)

We have been planning a trip for Sept (our actual anniversary) but this is an EMERGENCY...i need to take a break from the "war of the kids".

:)

hahaha! Looks like a fun party! It IS much easier to make the mess than it is to clean it up!

The Ups and Downs of pretend play! I swear - double the # of kids, but quadruple the mess.

I found you through Blogfrog and am now following.

Sounds like the same problem we have with our toys. Must be something the manufacturers do to them at the factories. Easy to take out, very hard to put away.

Jennifer said...

O man that is soo my child! Were do they get this concept!

Crystal Escobar said...

oh yes, that's a daily occurrence at our house :) My daughter say's the SAME thing.
