Just a post so I could post a post (and pictures)

It is so easy for a week (and then some) to slip by without a post. 


We just finished up our first week of swimming lessons.  I love summer swimming (at least on sunny days).  Outdoor pools are the best!  Both kids are in classes at the same time, and the lessons are 30 minutes each day, every day (M-F) for 2 weeks.  However since I signed up for 2 sessions we will get to do 4 weeks.  Keeps us busy but so far they both are really enjoying it.

One of the reasons I love this particular pool so much is that they have a very high instructor to student ratio.  I have seen it be almost 1:1 some days, even for Hannah's slightly more advanced level.

I'm floating!!

Once again I am falling behind miserably on blog reading.  A massive catch up effort is in order. 

Maybe tomorrow.

Actually it won't happen until at least next week.  Tomorrow is our annual family picture day and then I am taking the girls down to Seattle for some back to school shopping (hello?? Is that you calling our name Nordstrom Anniversary sale?????).  We are going to make it a girls night and have dinner and stay at a hotel so I looking very forward to it. 

My step-daughter Macy only has about 2 weeks left before she heads back to San Diego.  Hoping to make the most of it.  :)

It is so so easy to get behind. I'll tell you a little secret. I made a NEW reader with all my favorite blogs. I still stop by a lot but I make sure that I visit my absolute favs as often as I can. Making a new reader has been so great for me!

Can you believe I have not been to a pool all summer - my inlaws have been so great about taking the kids to the water park so they have been a ton. I am going to have to remedy that this next 7 off! :) Have a great time shopping!

So glad you are enjoying your summer. There will be plenty of time for blogging and blog reading in the rainy short days of winter. When the sun is out in the Pacific NW we must take advantage...at least that is what I keep telling myself since I haven't blogged for 3 weeks :)

They are adorable. I'm glad you're enjoying swim lessons. I have all three of the Grands enrolled and it is fun watching them develop those skills!

the pix bring back memories of swim lessons many years ago.

Now my big girl is on the swim team :)

I am so sorry you will have to say goodbye to Macy any day now...I know everyone will miss her!

Dear you, Hi there! We haven't met so I thought I would introduce myself.  I am a mom of two, a fifth and a third grader, at the school our kids attend.  You might recognize my car, as you drive by it nearly every day when you pass me (and plenty other parents) 10 minutes before school gets out to park at the very front of the pick up line. In a spot that is not a spot. Genius!  I mean why should you get to school early like many of us other parents do and park appropriately in the pick up lane when you can just come nearly at the last minute, go around a line of 30 vehicles, and park in a spot that is not a spot? Why didn't I think of that?
