the horse was up

Remember this picture from yesterday?

this was what he was looking at:

Nice horsey.

We are fortunate to live on a trail system that leads us to all kinds of exciting and fun places.

Such as the Big Rock Garden Sculpture park, which we visited on a recent sunny day.

Here are a few pictures of some of the exhibits:

Hannah thinks this one looks like a witch:

This kids clearly thought this one had some good “drumming” qualities:

And this one confused us in it’s simplicity.  It’s called “sap”.

There are many more exhibits in the park, but Hannah was the “leader” and for some reason we kept going by the same ones over and over and over again.

By the way there are NO alligators in the pond.

Just in case you were, you know, worried.

She didn't believe you either about the alligators? We had the same conversation when I took the kids there! :)

I love the horse and the SAP. LOL I wish we had cool places like that to visit. I can't wait for it to get warmer so we can go fishing. The non-aligator ponds is making me want to fish. lol

What a great place to take the kids! How neat that you live so close to it.

Love the shot at the end - I'm still smiling!

Hehe love the shot of your son looking up at the horsie -- classic! Very cool place...a little jealous that you are able to get out and about - we still have 2 feet of snow on the ground an haven't been outside in forever. Great photos as always :)

So I am sitting here reading your blog...at the top where the characters are...and my son comes bounding into the office and says "is that YOUR blog?" (in his aren't you cool voice). I said "no" and he literally dropped his head and his tone and said "oh" :( and left!
I wish I had a video. Too funny! You are WAAAAY cooler than I am! LOL

Such cute pictures! I love it!

I wish we had more places like that here. The only place we have is ridiculously expensive to get in.

I'm so jealous! I want to come and visit. I love cities and towns that have a natural path that leads through trees and makes taking a walk more like a nature hike. Very cool!

What a fun outing! When I lived in NY, there were all these neat art installations that hardly anyone would go to, but were awesome nonetheless. I wish there was more of that sort of thing where I live now.
