A colorful face

Macy, Hannah, and I went shopping at Nordstrom towards the end of July. 

Hannah was a trooper, but she did get a little bored here and there.

Fortunately a nice lady at the kids counter gave Hannah a toy phone to play with while we shopped.

Only it wasn’t a toy phone.

It was makeup disguised as a toy phone!

At first I did try to discourage her, but we were in the shoe department and it was taking a long time, so I finally gave up and let her just “put on a little bit more”. 

Over and over again.

She thought she looked awesome!  She loved it, and many fellow shoppers agreed (at least that is what I told myself their expressions were saying).

I wish Jackson would get interested in make up so I could try on some clothes every once and awhile LOL - He HATES sitting in the dressing room!

She is adorable! Didn't you stop by and let her give the sales lady a big, smooshy hug all over her outfit?

LOL I know I would have loved it if I had been walking by. When your shopping anything that keeps them quiet is gold. I wonder if my 9 year old would be interested in something like that? :)

lol I always hated those toy make up kits designed to look like other stuff. They trick me everytime! ;D

We met you in May of 2004 at the Humane Society. Dear you, Hi there! We haven't met so I thought I would introduce myself.  I am a mom of two, a fifth and a third grader, at the school our kids attend.  You might recognize my car, as you drive by it nearly every day when you pass me (and plenty other parents) 10 minutes before school gets out to park at the very front of the pick up line. In a spot that is not a spot. Genius!  I mean why should you get to school early like many of us other parents do and park appropriately in the pick up lane when you can just come nearly at the last minute, go around a line of 30 vehicles, and park in a spot that is not a spot? Why didn't I think of that? You probably have special circumstances.  I'm sure you think that NOBODY else in the pick up lane,  many of whom have been sitting there waiting for 30-45 minutes have ANYTHING better that they could be doing with their time.
