8:15

It is 8:15 am and right now my San Diego residing step-daughter is at her 8th grade promotion ceremony.

8:15 seems a little early for a ceremony, but what do I know?

We are officially parenting a high school-er. Oh my.

But wait.

That's not the best part.

The best part is that WHEN my step-daughter gets promoted she is going to have a few surprises waiting for her.

Namely, her daddy, Hannah, Grammy and Steve (Grammy's hubby).

That's right, barely 12 hours after my husband's return from his 8 day fishing trip he was out the door again heading in a different direction.

They flew down yesterday morning and are planning to attend the ceremony.  Then they will all go to dinner tonight and Macy will fly home with them tomorrow.

Best part - Macy has NO IDEA.  She thinks she is coming up on Saturday.

I so wish I was there to see it, but daddy and Hannah are I expect to hear all about it.  And hopefully I will have plenty of pictures to share too.

So Eli and I are alone at home.  But by Wednesday night we will have full house and it will remain that way for most of the summer.

PS: Eli sure hits less when nobody is here trying to "steal" his toys!!   :)

yes, 8:15 is WICKED early for that! Unless maybe they did it for parents who had to go to work. My son has his school concert at two on thursday, and it's times like those that I appreciate being home with the kids, and not having to work around a job to make all their activities.

Way too early, and you are way too young to be parenting a high schooler :)

Hope you all have a great, fun summer!
